WHO IS FRASER POORMAN

Fraser Poorman, a true sunshine despiser despite growing up in the land of eternal summers, wields his pen like a time travelers’ tool. Enveloping monochrome cartoons and technicolor fantasies, Fraser draws inspiration from the ethereal allure of 1930’s animation, a time when black and white spoke loudly and color was just a rumor. Infused with the spirit of pin-up glam, the allure of vintage celluloid, and a sneeze of retro futurism that seems to have missed a few cues, Fraser envisions not just illustrations, but an animated saga of artistic trouble. Hailing from the state that practically invented sweltering, South Florida, Fraser defiantly channels his disdain for heat by cooling down with a visual cocktail that’s equal parts nostalgia, kitsch, and a dash of wry sarcasm. With an eye for the offbeat and an itch for animation, Fraser Poorman is poised to morph his static art into moving dreams for those who appreciate art served with a side of side-eye.
